We moved! After several great years in Manhattan (Soho/Hudson Square/Tribeca), MIXI re-located to Downtown Brooklyn. Adelphi is now sharing space with St Francis College in their wonderful facilities (including a fantastic maker lab) at 179 Livingston Street. We loved the Manhattan campus, but our new location is great. Closer to home for many of us, we are now close to friends not just at St. Francis, but also NYU Tandon and CUNY City Tech.
But what about the name? MIXI is the Manhattan Institute for STEM & the Imagination. We're not in Manhattan. We're not BIXI, though, either. So, we're just the MIXI Institute for STEM & the Imagination.
The new campus is easy to get to, with plenty of good coffee, drinks, and snacks nearby. We hope to see you at one of our events soon!
